About the Upgrade
{beginAccordion}
Why did First Community upgrade their system?
This upgrade will help us operate more efficiently and improve our products and services to be able to continue providing our members with the best service and products.
What are the benefits of the upgrade?
A member-centric structure will make setting up electronic transactions much easier and provide a more complete financial overview in Online Banking.
Since my account number is different, will my old account number still work?
Even though your existing account number was updated, your previous number remains securely connected in our system. Direct deposits, automatic payments, tax refunds, and other ACH transactions will continue to process normally. There’s nothing you need to do right now. Over time, you may choose to update companies or individuals with your new account number, but your transactions will continue to work just as they always have.
Why did the structure of my account number change?
Our system switched from account-centric to a robust, member-centric system and will combine all your accounts in one place. Rather than having one account number encompassing your savings, checking, loan accounts, and other accounts, there is a prefix added to your existing member number, depending on the type of account and the current suffix. Having a unique account number for each of your deposit and loan accounts will make setting up electronic transactions much easier going forward.
What does the new structure look like in online banking?
Accounts are structured differently to provide a more complete financial overview. If you had multiple account numbers, you will now see all accounts in one place, linked by your Social Security
or Tax ID number. This includes accounts where you are a primary account holder, joint account holder, trustee, or custodian.
The upgraded system now generates combined statements for each member.
Were statements affected?
With the change to person-centric banking, all accounts you are primary, joint, and custodian over are combined under your social security number. With this change, your separate account statements are now combined. This way, members with multiple account numbers will receive fewer statements that include more of their account information. Differing addresses across accounts will be mailed based on address and will not be combined with other accounts under the same member.

Mobile App and Online Banking
{beginAccordion}
Did the Mobile App change after the upgrade?
No, our app did not change and you do not have to download a new app. Our app was already updated to pair with the upgraded core system. It has the same appearance, user ID, and password.
What if I have multiple accounts?
If you had access to multiple accounts with different logins, they now appear in one combined view under the account holder's most recently used login. If you find your login is not working, please try one of your other frequently used First Community Username/Password login combinations.
I used to log on to each account separately in online banking. What changed?
As part of our system upgrade, members who had multiple online banking logins were consolidated into a single login per person. We want to be very clear: this change did not alter the legal ownership of your account. Joint account holders have always had full legal rights to access accounts on which they are listed as an owner. This is a fundamental aspect of joint ownership and is consistent with the account agreement signed at account opening. Our new system now accurately reflects those existing legal ownership rights. If you have concerns about who is listed as a joint owner on your account, we would be happy to review your account ownership structure with you and discuss your options to limit online access.
