Digital Media Specialist

Reporting to the Manager of Advertising and Media strategy, this position has a role in marketing and brand creative to achieve First Community’s goals and objectives for growth, member service, profitability, and visibility while ensuring a consistent message and position aligned with the corporate direction.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with different types of organic and paid marketing channels, such as content marketing, PPC advertising, search engine optimization, outdoor marketing, email campaigns, website design and landing page enhancement, copywriting, and comprehensive performance analytics of marketing campaigns.

Further, they will embrace the adoption of digital technology with an ability to work within a fast-paced, often spontaneous environment. Maintain a focus on being able to keep abreast of marketing changes and trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leverage digital channels such as email marketing, online advertising, and podcasts to reach and engage with the target audiences.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of all First Community brands including First Community, Investment Services at First Community, First Community Realty, and First Community Insurance Agency. Ensure consistent branding across all channels including digital, print, and in-branch communication.
  • Work with the Marketing staff to implement key initiatives and creative concepts, advertising, and PR efforts. Works on special projects and other organizational activities as assigned.
  • Use analytical acumen to shape campaign activities; demonstrating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; an understanding of trends; the engagement of target audiences.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop messaging, content, and programs that drive clear narratives about our brand, products, and services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Relations, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field. Experience with a financial institution is preferred.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft engaging copy, news releases, and written content.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc).

The hours for this position Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After hours and weekend work are sometimes required to attend and promote special events for social media integration.

Assistant Branch Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager at our Washington Walmart locations.

Job responsibilities include supervising the teller line, balancing the vault, ordering cash, loading cash dispensers, assisting members and other various duties. The ideal candidate will be well organized, flexible, possess a good working knowledge of credit union policies and procedures, feel comfortable making decisions, and have excellent communication skills. At least one year of supervisor experience is required.

ATM Plus Teller

As an ATM Plus Teller you will provide assistance to members from a centralized location at our Corporate East Building through video transmission via the Interactive Teller Machine (ATM+)

Duties and responsibilities include: Offering a positive, professional attitude while communicating effectively through on-screen technology.  Engage members and educate them on First Community products and services. Conduct member transactions that can be complex and require sound decision-making skills and approvals.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable appearing on camera and have exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work seamlessly and efficiently across several different platforms simultaneously.
  • Must possess analytical and technical skills to address questions and issues related to electronic services and ensure a smooth and efficient banking experience for our members.
  • Through video transmission via the ATM+, process a variety of lobby and drive thru financial transactions including, but not limited to, deposits, payments, transfers, check cashing and withdrawals. Ensures that proper endorsements and identification are obtained and follows credit union policies and procedures.
  • Monitor ATM+ to ensure they are working properly, alerting management of any operating issues.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced virtual environment.
  • Good typing skills and a solid history of customer service to include handling escalated, in-depth and detailed conversations.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Ability to effectively work and contribute to a positive team environment.

Schedule will be a revolving 4 day a week position. Hours of operation are as followed:

Resource Specialist

Must be able to work at least two Saturdays a month.

This schedule does not require any Saturdays.

ODP Representative

There is an immediate opening for a full-time Overdraft Protection Representative at our corporate office in Chesterfield. This position involves taking inbound calls related to overdrawn accounts, negotiating and inputting Fresh Start loans, maintenance of overdrawn and negative accounts, running reports, and processing charged off accounts. 

The ideal candidate will also support branches and back office departments with Overdraft Protection (ODP) issues. We are looking for a Mortgage Processors at our Chesterfield and Oakville Branches.

Internal Audit

First Community is seeking an Internal Auditor. This individual will be responsible for assisting the audit manager with the audit plan, preparing for specific audits, and drafting reports. Audit experience of 1 - 2 years in the financial industry is preferred, but not required. Must be able to independently evaluate the financial risk and control environment in addition to performing operational and compliance audits. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A strong knowledge of banking regulations is preferred.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Compile data and reports needed for completion of specific areas of review in the audit program.
  • Analyze and report audit findings and recommendations to the Manager of Internal Audit and management.
  • Examine the financial institutions internal controls to assess risk mitigation and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Prepare formal reports documenting audit procedures, examinations performed, and audit results.
  • Prepare written opinions as to the effectiveness of existing systems, policies and procedures, and the efficiency with which activities are performed. Complete all working papers in compliance with professional auditing standards.
  • Perform the audits in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit.

Commercial Loan Underwriter

We are seeking a Commercial Loan Underwriter at our Chesterfield corporate office. This individual will review credit data to evaluate business loan requests, analyze sources of financial information to determine profitability of loans, evaluate sources of collateral and prepare loan documents.

Qualified candidates MUST have at least 2 years of direct experience with underwriting commercial loans, a working knowledge of reading and understanding financial statements and tax returns and have the ability to communicate effectively with current or prospective clients regarding meeting their commercial lending needs and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
